My passion for software development began in high school when I enrolled in my first Computer Science
course. I was exposed to the wonders and versatilities of Java and even though the course was really
fundamental, I knew I had found my passion.
I started off college at University of California, San Diego as a Computer Science major, but life
caught up to me and a long series of events led me to University of California, Irvine as a Criminology,
Law, and Society major. For the previous 2 years, computer Science had always been in the back of
my mind, but the major was officially impacted and it was nearly impossible to pursue a change of
major.
Even still, I was determined to study computer science and pursue a career in software development.
I took all the classes I could register and was fortunately selected for an position to work on a
project called Eleveight. Web and mobile app development at Eleveight opened the door to many opportunities
and was finally my first step into the tech world.
